SWE M: Hylte/Halmstad join Linköpings in playoff finals

Hylte/Halmstad will fight for the title in the Swedish men’s volleyball championship Elitserien 2017/18.


The second-seed Hylte/Halmstad followed the footsteps of the top-seed Linköpings VC and closed their series of the Elitserien 2017/18 playoff semifinals against with a sweep, 3-0. Hylte/Halmstad prevailed over third-seed Falkenberg in Game 3 in straight sets, partially 25-15, 26-24, 25-14.

The American Nicholas Goodell and Viktor Lindberg (75% reception, 16 digs, 19% perfect) shared the best scorer “title” in Hylte/Halmstad with 17 points apiece. Philip Pettersson added 4 kill blocks.

The playoff finals between Linköpings and Hylte/Halmstad will also be played in the best-of-five format.
